Continuing southwest along the reef line from The Elbow Reef finds one of the most popular dive sites in the Florida Keys at White Bank Dry Rocks, the location of the famous The Statue of Christ in only 22 feet of water. The statue's left hand is extended towards a huge brain coral only a few yards away. This is a popular spot for divers and snorkelers and the most popular activities seem to be fish feeding and photographing the statue. Several large groupers and the usual hordes of yellowtail snapper are found here regularly. |
