American, Maryland and Pelican Shoals

American, Maryland and Pelican Shoals lie just offshore of the Saddlebunch Keys. These dives sites are too far east of Key West for regularly scheduled dive trips, but dive shops in Summerland and Cudjoe make special trips.

Dotted with purple sea fans and home to hundreds of fish, these reefs are very picturesque and less visited than other reefs in the Florida Keys. If you have the opportunity to dive here, don't pass it up!
