Miami Area Dive Sites The Dive Charter Operator I recommend to dive these wreck sites is: RJ Diving Ventures |
Located in the Anchorage Reef Site is 1024 tons of boulders offering an impressive 12 feet of relief from the sandy bottom. The GPS coordinates are Latitude 25 48' 46.9" Longitude 80 5' 23.3". This site was created as an area of relief and anchorage for the large ships coming into the Port Of Miami, so care should be taken when diving here. This is an excellent place to find lobsters during the Mini-Season created for Sport divers. The boulders are encrusted with sponges, algae and various growth and have wasted no time in attracting the spiny creatures we find so mouth watering. This area is also home to many juvenile tropical speces, such as the French angelfish, parrotfish, wrasses and blennies. |
