How Much Does It Cost To Get Scuba Certified?

Private Certification for 1

Private certification classes are for the people that wish to have 1-on-1 interaction. This is the best way to learn, because I can focus on what you need to work on.

$650 per person
Includes all of the elements of a regularly scheduled class, but on a more relaxed or accelerated level (your choice).

Private Certification for 3 or more

A private course (as above) for 3 people or more.

$600 per person

Refresher Course

Two dives with me supervising in order to help you "remember" the scuba habits.

$200 per person and I will accompany you on your own boat or YOU pay for your 2 tank dive on a dive charter
$350 per person with boat fees and scuba equipment included

You may consider including pool time before the dives for an extra fee of $50 per hour

Resort Course
TRY Diving and see if you like it! - This is simply an introduction to scuba diving.

A brief pool session followed by two shallow open water dives on reefs to see if you want to "plunge" further into diving and take a certification course. Includes equipment and 2 boat trips. (Please note: you cannot dive on your own after this introduction and the money for this course is for my time and for scuba equipment rental and cannot be applied towards a certification course.)

$325 per person

Advanced Open Water Certification

Private advanced open water class. This includes 5 dives (equipment NOT included). A deep dive, a wreck dive, a night dive, advanced navigation and search and recovery. You need to obtain and read the Advanced Open Water Diver Manual and be involved in one-on-one lecture. There is NO pool work with this course.

$475 per person
Includes boat fees for 2 trips (5 dives). Scuba equipment can be arranged at an additional fee.

TRY Scuba Diving and see if you like it first! - This is simply an introduction to scuba diving done in the pool under my guidance and supervision

A pool session helps you decide if you want to "plunge" further into diving and take a certification course. Includes equipment. (Please note: you cannot dive on your own after this introduction and the money for this course is for my time and for scuba equipment rental and pool fees and cannot be applied towards a certification course.)

$95 per person

Upon completion of any of the above courses you will be required to supply two passport-size photos, one for your certification card and one for my file.

Payment Policy: A $150 deposit is due in advance of the first class to reserve my time. The balance is due in full at the end of the first class session. Please make your checks payable to Robin Burr.

Refund Policy: No refunds are available once class begins, however, if circumstances do not permit completion of the course within the scheduled time frame, arrangements can be made to make-up missed portions of the course. There will be an additional charge to cover extra classes and/or boat fees. Fees paid on behalf of one student are nontransferable to another student.

Please note: you only get certified once, so choose your course of instruction wisely.
